Loss of Science and Spread of Ignorance
Category: Book: Judgement Day
Al-Bukhari narrated from Syaqiq, he said, "I was with 'Abdullahand Abu Musa, they said,' The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:' Verily the coming Day of Judgement there will be some days where ignorance down and eliminated sciences. '"
In a report narrated by Muslim from Abu Hurayrah radi anhu, hesaid, "Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:' Age of each other, science is eliminated, many libel appeared, stinginess thrown (into the liver), and killing more and more. '"
Ibn Baththal said, "All that is contained in this hadeeth includessigns of the Apocalypse we have seen clearly, the science has been reduced, apparent ignorance, stinginess thrown into theliver, spreading slander and many murders."
Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar rahimahullah comment on the phrase with his words, "What is clear, that he actually saw was accompanied by a lot (a sign of Judgement) who will come after him. While that ismentioned in the hadith is the all-powerful state remaining until nolonger a state that unless otherwise extremely rare, and that's a cue from the phrase "science unplugged", then nothing really left but pure stupidity. But that did not rule out the existence of the scholars, because their time was a stranger in their midst. "
